INSTRUCTIONS

  2. How many people speak it? (2 different figures can be found)

Second step : now try to understand more precisely.

  1. See the title : what does "Hakuna Matata" refer to? What does it mean??
  2. Find the linguistic roots of Swahili : what is its main origin? What languages have influenced it?
  3. What alphabet is used to write in Swahili?
  4. Why do so many people speak Swahili? (try to find at least 2 possible explanations)
